Rev. Dr. Augustus E. Succop III - Pastor "Gus" was called to serve with the Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church in 1993. His first Sunday was Easter, April 11. Having been born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, he attended Shady Side Academy, earned his A.B. in English Literature from Davidson College, and his M. Div. from Yale University Divinity School. On February 22, 1981, Gus was ordained and installed as the pastor of the Deer Creek Harmony Presbyterian Church, Darlington, Maryland (Baltimore Presbytery). In May 2000, Gus received his doctorate from Columbia Theological Seminary, and was the recipient of the Sally & George Telford Prize, given to the outstanding graduate in the Doctor of Ministry program. A copy of his thesis, Almighty Friendship: The Intercultural Mission and Witness of the Church in a Postmodern World, is available upon request. Gus and Beth were married on January 24, 1981. Beth is also from Pittsburgh, and is a graduate of Bucknell University with a B.A. in Political Science. They have two children, a son, Charles H. E. Matt Wiggins - Youth Director Matt comes to us from Canton, Ohio, and is the newest member on our team. Matt is a graduate of Ohio State University where he majored in English with a minor in Film Studies. He served as a youth director at his home church, John Knox Presbyterian Church. A newcomer to Charlotte, Matt is able to put his gifts and talents to use in service to the Lord as he works with Quail Hollow's youth. matt@qhpc.org

Ruth Falls - Ministry Assistant/Office Manager Ruth moved to Charlotte in 2000 with her husband and 3 children. She joined the church office staff in September 2001 and served for 7 years as the bookkeeper. In 2009, she transitioned to the position of ministry assistant and office manager. ruth@qhpc.org

J. L. McDaniel Milliken - Choirmaster J.L. McDaniel-Milliken is the Director of Music at Quail Hollow. She holds Masters Degrees in Vocal Performance from Winthrop University and in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina. She is the Music Library Director and an Instructor of voice at Winthrop, where she teaches Opera Literature. Ms. McDaniel was Co-director of Winthrop's production of the opera, Dido and Aeneas. She was the Director of the Winthrop music department's production of Red, White, and New: American one act operas, and was the Assistant Director of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers. Ms. McDaniel performed the title roles in productions of Suor Angelica and Dido and Aeneas. She has been the Soprano soloist in performances of Handel's Messiah, Bach's Magnificat, Vivaldi's Gloria, Saint-Saens' Christmas Oratorio, Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, Schubert's Mass in G, Faur's Requiem, and many other sacred works. Nancy Lucas - Organist Nancy Lucas jointed the staff as the church organist in October 1998. She came to Quail Hollow from the organist position at Sharon United Methodist Church, Charlotte. She has a Masters from Converse College and a Bachelor's degree from Limestone College, both in piano performance. Nancy was married to John Lucas, a Baptist minister, and they have a son who is a United Church of Christ minister living in Austin, Texas. She taught piano at Queens College and now teaches it at Quail Hollow.

John Barger - Sexton John comes to us from Michigan originally where he received his B.A. from Spring Arbor College. He is the father of two children, a son and a daughter, and his wife is from Costa Rica. John comes to us with a great amount of experience maintaining the Southminster Retirement Center and we are happy to have him here with us at Quail Hollow. John has worked in the Charlotte area since 1990 and resides in Fort Mill with his family.
